The Difficult Airway Course: Virtual 2020 welcomed over 250 attendees for three dynamic days of airway education in October. The attendees hailed from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Guam, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Thailand, UAE, UK, and the USA. This geographically diverse group also represented multiple specialties, including anesthesiology, emergency medicine, critical care medicine, pre-hospital medicine, respiratory therapy, and surgery.
Hosted by airway management pioneer Michael Murphy MD and featuring the world-class faculty of The Difficult Airway Courses, this first-ever virtual course was a lively mix of airway talks, procedural videos, Q&A, and case panel discussions. The fast-paced program focused on the most critical lessons of difficult and failed airway management.
Here is what the course participants had to say:
“I loved this format. Every session was packed with information. The variety of presenters was great, offering so many different viewpoints. Highly recommended!”
“The best presentation I have ever attended.”
“The team did an excellent job on making this virtual experience as beneficial and rewarding as possible. The content was what I wanted, and the length of time spent on each lecture was perfect.”
“The panel discussions on Day 3 were amazing!”
“Loved the course, the instructors, and the content. So appreciative that you all found a way to deliver this content virtually. THANK YOU!”
“This course was fantastic. It was engaging and I especially appreciated the pre-course videos followed by the short talks to solidify key points. The case studies and procedural videos further solidified the new knowledge.”
