Staff CRNA
Dayton Children's Hospital
Dayton, Ohio
Ernest Gross is a Staff CRNA at Dayton Children’s Hospital. He has spent the last 29 years working in pediatrics. He has worked as a Pediatric ICU Nurse, a Flight Nurse, and a Pediatric Nurse Anesthetist.
Gross finds that he has always gravitated towards airway management because he sees it as a great way to share expertise with others, and in turn, help patients. He is always looking for ways to better himself and others in the field. “I am constantly searching, educating, networking, researching, new, different and better techniques in the anesthesia care of my patients,” he says. When it comes to teaching The Difficult Airway Course: Anesthesia, he finds that every day is a teaching moment.
Gross is a former Iron Man Triathlete. His dog, a Hungarian Vizsla, continues to keep him in good shape.
