Airway Management Education Center
Airway Management Education Center (AMEC) is a privately held medical education company founded by Ron M. Walls, MD, Michael F. Murphy, MD and Robert C. Luten, MD in 1998. AMEC’s primary mission is to save lives by improving patient airway care through education. The Difficult Airway Course™, AMEC’s internationally renowned CME program, teaches an evidence-based, algorithmic approach to the management of difficult and failed airways, incorporating simulated patient encounters. On-line events sponsored by AMEC enable medical providers to remain current in their practice of airway management by emphasizing developments in the field and the impact of airway research on patient care. All AMEC programs are led by Dr. Murphy, Dr. Luten, Dr. Calvin Brown III, and Dr. Adam Law. All EMS programs are directed by Darren Braude, MD, EMT-P through AMEC’s sister company, First Airway.
